Photojournalist Ralph Morse cabled this typewritten account of the May 7 Nazi surrender from Reims, France, to ''Time'' Magazine on 10 May 1945. Morse, at Allied headquarters when surrender documents were signed, reports in part: ''...The colonel of the war room entered. All he said was: 'Fellows, this is it.'...About 2:30 a.m. the generals started filing in...The actual signing was to take place in front of us.'' Six 8.5'' x 11'' pages are stapled in upper left corner and have been folded. Light toning and soiling, else very good condition.
