Arlington Valles costume sketch from the 1940 film ''Northwest Passage''. Two sketches are of the actor Lumsden Hare who played Lord Amherst in the movie. Signed ''Valles'', sketch is rendered on board measuring 15'' x 20'', with a fabric swatch stapled to the side. Valles would later win an Academy Award for costume design on the film ''Spartacus''. Faint foxing, some toning and chipping to edges, overall in very good condition.
