Original World War II press photo of Omaha Beach, France. Information sheet stapled to photo from the Army Photographic Agency dates photo to 23 June 1944 and states ''These improvised landing platforms extending into Omaha Beach channel will be used to receive vast quantities of material from landing craft for transfer to the continent.'' Black and white glossy photo measures 10'' x 8''. Minor creasing, two staples and verso has a small 1'' ink smudge. Otherwise in near fine condition.
