Original Hal Foster lot of preliminary artwork for the ''Prince Valiant'' comic strip, #1963 in the series. Lot of two pencil sketches were for the strip published on 22 September 1974, hand-drawn by Foster as the strip transitioned from Foster to John Cullen Murphy. Measures 8.5'' x 9'', drawn on each side of the artist board. Light creasing, overall in very good condition. From the John Cullen Murphy estate.
