British Parliament act entitled ''Truce with America Act.'' Published by Charles Eyre and William Strahan: Printers to the King's Most Excellent Majesty: London: 1782. After seven years of war with the American Colonies, Parliament here decided that ''...peace, trade & commerce be restored...'' with the ''...desire of his majesty and his Parliament to put an end to the calamities of war...'' Original act is quite scarce, as they were only printed for members of Parliament, officers of state, and the judiciary. 2pp. document bound in red buckram measures 7.75'' x 11.5''. Near fine.
