Dwight Eisenhower signs, ''DE'' as President to a letter typed on White House stationery dated 12 November 1957 to his brother Edgar that reads, ''...Approval from you is high praise indeed...I am...delighted that I was able to enlist Dr. [James] Killian's assistance in this most vital and pressing problem of the part science will play in our national defense...'' Dr. James Killian served as President of MIT throughout most of the 1950's. Lot also includes a copy of Edgar's letter. Light fold and punch holes to 6.75'' x 9'' letter, else fine.
