Datelined Washington, 24 February 1945, this typed document calls itself a ''Certificate of Settlement'' and reads in part: ''I certify there is due from the United States to the above-named claimant(s), [FDR at The White House] payable from the appropriation(s) indicated, the sum of - Six thousand two hundred fifty and no/100 Dollars on account of salary as President of the United States of America from February 1 to 26, 1945...'' Single-page document measures 7.75'' x 10''. Creasing, else near fine.
