Robert F. Kennedy autograph letter signed on a Soviet Union postcard to Teresa Kraus. It reads in full, ''Dear Teresa, I picked the fellow in the center stamp out for you. Things are really shaping up in Stalinabad. The temperature has gone down to about 100 degrees from 140. [illegible] Try not to miss me - Love Bobby''. Card has three Russian postmarks and cancelled Russian stamps appearing to be dated 1955, when Kennedy was serving as Chief Counsel on the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. This of course was chaired throughout much of the 1950's by Senator Joseph McCarthy, for whom RFK worked. Minor edge wear and creasing to 6'' x 4.25'' card, else near fine.
