Mt. Rushmore sculptor Gutzon Borglum typed letter signed, dated 14 February 1922 on Gutzon Borglum Studios letterhead. The sculptor, who was preparing to begin his work on Stone Mountain, signs, ''Sincerely yours / Gutzon Borglum'' below his visionary and eloquent statement about the Mt Rushmore monument, in the planning stages at this point. Part of this quote is carved into the capstone of a records repository located in the Mt. Rushmore Hall of Records. The 8'' x 7.75'' sheet has tape repair to folds. Overall in very good condition.
