President Lyndon B. Johnson signed first edition, fourth printing copy of ''The Professional: Lyndon B. Johnson'' by William S. White. With original dustjacket. Boston: Houghton Mifflin: 1964. Johnson inscribes the flyleaf to Louisiana politician, ''To Earl Williamson with best wishes, Lyndon B. Johnson'' in blue ink. Accompanied with a typed letter signed from Democratic National Committee chairman John M. Bailey gifting the book, ''...The President has personally autographed this copy for you...'' The unclipped dustjacket is worn with some toning, creasing, and chipping, else very good. Book measures 5.5'' x 8.5'' and is bound in red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and front board; in very good condition.
