John Quincy Adams document signed ''J. Q. Adams'' as President. The vellum land grant is dated 2 September 1825, Adams' first year in office. An official seal remains affixed to the lower left. Also included is a newspaper clipping attesting to the provenance from the descendants of the Strawn pioneer family. Vellum measures 15.75'' x 9.5''. Toning and creasing, with separation to fold intersections and to the bottom edge of the vertical fold right of center. Loss to upper corners not affecting text. Good condition.
