A lot of one hundred personal checks signed by legendary screen siren ''Mary Astor''. Each check is made out in her hand in 1975, 76, or 77, and is printed with her name and one of two addresses. Most checks are printed with the address of the famous movie business retirement home in Woodland Hills on Mulholland Drive, but some bear her prior address at 947 Tiverton Avenue, which she often crosses out. While residing at the Woodland Hills community, Astor starred in ''Hollywood: A Celebration of the American Silent Film'', a documentary in which she discussed her early career in silent films before her very successful transition to talkies. She was also photographed on site for Time Magazine before her death in 1987. Over the course of her lengthy career Astor won an Academy Award and performed memorably opposite Humphrey Bogart in 1941's ''The Maltese Falcon.'' Measuring 6'' x 2.75'', checks bear standard cancellations and are in near fine condition.
