Original hand-drawn sketch of Popeye by Elzie Segar, circa 1930's. Segar writes in a speech bubble above Popeye's head, "Blow me down Grace Evelyn, him an' Norton Parker's out fishin' an' I don't suspose we kin find 'em -- But I'll take ya down an' buy ya a swell hot dorg." His companion, a young girl, replies, "Blow me down too - that'll be lovely!" Signed at bottom right "With best wishes to Grace Evelyn, Segar". Sketch measures 6" x 9". Near fine condition.
