The ''Dallas Morning News'' Sunday paper from 24 November 1963. John F. Kennedy was assassinated in that city just two days prior. The front page features a large photo of Eisenhower speaking to the new President Lyndon B. Johnson. Articles cover Johnson's succession to the Executive Office, updates on the case against Lee Harvey Oswald, and rumors of a communist plot addressed by the Soviet news agency. A small bulletin to the lower right on the front page announces the closure of Dallas public schools, government offices and local businesses the next day ''...in observance of the national day of mourning for slain President Kennedy...'' Sections 1 through 7 of 12. Toning and chipping to edges. Very good.
