Boy Scouts founder Robert Baden-Powell typed letter signed on the official stationery of the Boy Scouts Association, London. Dating his letter 4 September 1935, he politely addresses a case of mistaken identity: ''Dear Mrs. Tonsberg, Thank you for your letter...but I am afraid you have confused me with someone else as, though I am interested in water-colour sketching, I have written no books on the subject and therefore cannot help you in your enquiry. Yours truly, [signed] Baden Powell''. 1pp. measures 8'' x 10''. Creasing with a tear at the central fold intersection, else near fine.
