This bulletin, issued 8 September 1901, was released by McKinley's physicians after the assassination attempt on 6 September 1901. He appeared to be recovering from his wounds, but then died six days later. The typed carbon copy reads in part: ''...His condition is satisfactory to all the physicians present. Pulse, 128; temperature, 101; respiration, 28...'' 8'' x 4.75'' telegram has paper loss on edges and moderate wrinkling not affecting text. Overall very good condition.
