Amelia Earhart signed ''20 hrs 40 min. / Our Flight in the Friendship'' published by G.P. Putnam's Sons: New York: 1928. First edition, second printing, with a dustjacket from a Grosset & Dunlap printing. The famous female aviator handwrites: ''To Charles Collscott Jr. / Amelia M. Earhart'' in blue ink to the fly-leaf. In this 814pp. volume, Earhart tells the story of her life from childhood through her record-setting trans-Atlantic flight. Bound in burgundy leather boards with gilt lettering. Pictorial endpapers bear the photographic image of Earhart's diaries. Measures 5.75'' x 8.25''. Blocks of toning to interior pages and light wear to boards; in very good condition overall. Dustjacket has some paper loss and toning; good condition. A lovely memoir signed by the inspirational aviator.
