Walt Whitman autograph note signed, with an exceptionally large and bold signature. From his home at 328 Mickle Street in Camden, New Jersey on 9 April 1888, Whitman writes, ''Dear Sir / Can you use this? - the price would be $12 - / Walt Whitman''. Slip measures approximately 8'' x 5'', partially affixed to slightly larger slip. Signature itself measures 4.75'' long. Small closed tears, folds and block of toning, overall very good condition.
