Photo signed by 27 soldiers of ''Easy Company'' from the 101st Airborne Division, famously profiled in ''Band of Brothers'', here celebrating in May 1945 after they captured the Eagle's Nest, Adolf Hitler's fortress. All these men, and indeed all the men who made up the Band of Brothers regiment have since passed.
Photo is notably signed by Dick Winters, Easy Company's Commander during the Normandy invasion, who writes his famous motto, ''Hang Tough''. Harry Welsh, Lewis Nixon III, Ron ''Sparky'' Speirs, Buck Compton and Jack Foley also sign the photo. The other 21 men sign the mat and include Joseph Lesniewski, Ed Shames, Rod Strohl, Herb Suerth, Ed Joint, Robert Rader, John Martin, Frank Perconte, George Luz, Robert Strayer, Pat O'Keefe, Carwood Lipton, Michael Massaconi, Lester Hashey, Elijah Whytsell, Salve Matheson, Frederick Heyliger, Eugene ''Doc'' Roe, Edward ''Babe'' Heffron, Dewitt Lowery And Earl McClung. Glossy photo measures 10'' x 8'', matted to a size of 13'' x 10''. Near fine condition.
