Invitation to the enthronement ceremony of Japanese Emperor Hirohito. ''Imperial Household Minister'' Baron Ichiki Kitokuro invites Cavalry Captain Sato to celebrate the beginning of the ''Showa'' era, marked by this royal event, held 1 November 1928. White paper card is printed in black and bears an embossed gold seal symbolizing Japan's Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum, to which Hirohito belonged. The seal is also embossed on the envelope. Measures 5.5'' x 7.5''. Comes with a thin paper sheet with a cutout revealing the seal. In near fine condition.
