Original and rare NASA manual from 1966 in preparation for the Apollo 1 mission, titled ''Apollo Mission Simulator Instructor Handbook Volume I / Description and Utilization Spacecraft 012''. North American Aviation, Inc. SID 54-974-1 and SM6T-2-02, dated 15 April 1966. Detailed manual with hundreds of schematics, illustrations and pull-out maps runs over 600 pages and measures 8.5'' x 11'' x 2'', covering every scenario for the NASA instructors to prepare for the first Apollo mission. Bound in original covers secured by three hole prong. Wear and dampstaining to covers, with moisture affecting a portion of pages near the end. Good condition.
