Park Chung Hee signed New Year's greeting card as President of South Korea. The controversial leader signs his full name in Korean characters using a black felt tip pen. Chung Hee was assassinated in 1979. The interior of the undated card is printed with its sentiment in English on one half and in Korean on the signed segment. The English portion reads: ''Season's Greetings and Best Wishes for the Happy New Year / [printed] Park Chung Hee / President of the Republic of Korea''. Front panel features a floral and bird design in gilt. Measures 8'' x 6''. Staple puncture to interior and a faint stain to front panel, else near fine.
