Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, autograph letter signed to her Clarence House decorator. Dated 24 October 1969, it reads in full: ''Dear Mr. Ford / I am so delighted with the result of the work that you have done here, and the rooms upstairs look absolutely perfect. The blue in the visitors' bedroom is a great success, and the bathroom a dream. The Leago's look lovely, & I believe I can find one or two more. Thank you so very much for all you have done here - I am indeed most grateful, & thrilled with the result - I am, yours sincerely / Elizabeth R''. 1pp. letter on Clarence House stationery bearing her royal cipher measures 5'' x 8''. Creasing and adhesive residue to top edge, else near fine.
