Famed French Admiral under Napoleon, Francois Joseph Bouvet autograph letter signed. Dated 1803, the year before Napoleon became Emperor of France and ''12th year of the French Revolution,'' Bouvet signs as Chief of Brest Harbor on official letterhead, ''Bouvet''. Bouvet amassed a considerable fortune that fluctuated with Napoleon's popularity. Letter with expected toning displays some foxing and residue of a wax seal on the verso. 5'' x 8'' document is in very good plus condition.
