John Glenn signed photo from Mercury-Atlas 6, the first crewed orbital spaceflight by the United Sates. Signed in silver felt-tip, photo shows Glenn entering the Friendship 7 spacecraft on 20 February 1962, the day of the mission. Semi-glossy photo measures 11.5'' x 8''. Minor smudging to signature. Light creasing and edgewear, overall in very good condition. With notation on verso indicating it was likely signed by Glenn in Maryland on 22 October 2012.
