Interesting handwritten pages by Moe Howard, part of the draft of his autobiography ''Moe Howard and the Three Stooges'', describing an impromptu scene on the set of ''Horse's Collars''. Composed in blue ballpoint, manuscript reads in part, ''In our western picture Horses Collars, there was a scene of a fight between the two heavies and Curly at one point in the fight the one heavy was just starting to take his coat off as Curly was throwing a punch it so happened that Curly's arm went right into the sleeve of the Heavy's coat they were both locked in the one coat each one had a free arm, the second heavy was standing alongside of us and as Curly swung the first heavy around he punched his own pal and when he swung Curly around Curly landed a punch on the second heavie's chin, this kept on until they both passed out we then found out that the second heavy was throwing an epileptic fit from the punches and passed out we ran over and turned him onto his stomach so he wouldn't swallow his tongue. He was brought to the studio hospital and after some time he was brought around. It upset us quite a bit. You never could tell what would happen in one of our comedies.
On the verso, Moe continues writing, telling a few stories under the title of ''Cute Happenings'': ''I was walking my dog Pogo as I do each morning about one mile and a quarter. This one particular morning I came across a young lad who was sitting against a wall with his bicycle flat on the ground crying his heart out. I stopped and had Pogo kiss his face thinking that perhaps that would bring him out of his sorry but nothing doing. I finally said, Son what are you crying about, what's wrong? his answer really floored me he said I got a ackapuncture in my tire. When I got through laughing I said Come on over the next corner and I'll drive you and your ackupunctured tire over to a gas station, and have it fixed; his crying stopped and he was all smiles. I figured that he had heard the word acupuncture at home. We had the tire patched and he thanked me profusely. To me it was a darn good feeling. My Boy Scout Deed for the day.''
Howard writes two more entries on the ''Cute Happenings'' page, one about a deaf boy who wrote in a letter, ''Thank God you act out your jokes'', and another about a ''know it all'' boy who pulled hard on Moe's hair, wondering if it was a wig. Document measures 8'' x 12.5'' on single sheet of yellow lined legal paper. Very good condition.
