Large oval albumen photo of ''Lincoln & Son'', depicting President Abraham Lincoln with his son Tad, taken by photographer Anthony Berger in Mathew Brady's studio on 9 February 1864. Photo is O-93 in Hamilton & Ostendorf's, ''Lincoln in Photographs''. Albumen is mounted to original board measuring 9.625'' x 11.625'', with stamp of photographer John Carbutt's 131 Lake St., Chicago studio, dating the photograph to the mid-1860s. Toning, a few surface marks and chipping to edges. Very good condition. ''Lincoln & Son'' photographs of this size are rare; an oval albumen photo of approximately this size sold at Christie's in 2003 for $2,390.
