Herbert Hoover lot of nine typed letters signed, all but one composed on his personal letterhead, spanning from 1949-1960. Hoover writes to his friend C. Raymond Long, Publisher of the Elgin Daily Courier-News in Elgin, Illinois. Friendly letters thank Long for his friendship and reference dates like Veteran's Day, Christmas and Hoover's birthday. Each letter measures approximately 7.25'' x 10.5''. Most are accompanied by original mailing envelopes. Very good to near fine condition with folds and minor wear. Lot also includes a letter signed by Richard Nixon as Vice President, likely autopen, as well as two 8'' x 10'' photos of Nixon with Lyndon B. Johnson and their wives, likely taken during the Presidential transition after the 1968 election.
