Signature by Mitsuo Fuchida, the Japanese Captain who led the bombing raid on Pearl Harbor. After the war Fuchida converted to Christianity, and here handwrites ''Luke 23:34'' after signing his name in both English and Japanese. Fuchida additionally writes, ''A former Japanese Navy Captain who led the air raid on Pearl Harbor, but now an Evangelist of the Gospel of the Jesus Christ.'' Penned by Fuchida in blue fountain pen, slip measures 5'' x 2.875''. Slightly irregularly trimmed with mounting glue remnants to verso. Very good condition.
