Winston Churchill autograph letter signed, composed upon stationery with his Mount Street, Mayfair address, thereby dating the letter to sometime between 1901-1905 when Churchill was first elected to Parliament. Datelined Tours on 25 September, Churchill writes, ''My dear Sir, I regret that it is not possible for me to accept the new invitation which you have extended to me to open your Bazaar at Eccles in December. My engagements this autumn are already too numerous I fear...Winston S. Churchill''. Single page letter on bifolium stationery measures 5'' x 8''. Foxing, toning and single fold, overall in good plus condition.
