Official press release announcing the progress of the Kennedy White House Restoration project, which renovated the State Dining Room, the East Room, Green Room, Red Room and Blue Room. Typed press release dated 13 February 1962 pertains to the arrangement of furnishings in the Green Room. Announcement, from the Office of the Assistant Social Secretary for the Press reads in part, ''...The furnishings of the room are now complete with the exception of a few additional pieces, which the Committee hopes to acquire...'' Document goes on to itemize the selected furnishings and provide the identity of each benefactor. Runs 3pp. on 3 sheets measuring 8.5'' x 14''. Stapled to upper left. Toning and minor staining, else near fine. Originally from the papers of Sally Powers, who served as secretary to White House curator Lorraine Pearce.
