Very rare Marx Brothers agreement signed a total of nine times by all four brothers, uniquely signed with both their legal and stage names. Agreement is the by-laws of Marx Bros., Inc., the corporation established by the brothers in 1933 after they fulfilled their five-picture deal with Paramount. First page of agreement reads, ''BY-LAWS OF MARX BROS., INC.'', then signed twice on the last page by all four as both the Incorporators and Directors of the company, and then signed a third time by Chico as the Secretary.
Signatures read: ''Arthur Harpo Marx'', ''Herbert Zeppo Marx'', ''Leo Chico Marx'' and ''Julius (Groucho) Marx''. The brothers then sign again in the same order as Directors, ''Arthur Harpo Marx'', ''Herbert Zeppo Marx'', ''Leo Chico Marx'' and ''Julius (Groucho) Marx''. Finally, Leo signs again as Secretary, ''Leo Chico Marx''. Signed by all in black fountain pen.
Contract runs five pages, each measuring approximately 7.75'' x 12'', with pages partially glued to paper measuring 8.25'' x 12.125'', else very good condition. Very scarce Hollywood Golden Age item, unique as one of the founding documents for the Marx Bros. corporation, as signed by all four, and as signed with both their legal and state names.
