Service plate from the Abraham Lincoln White House. Beautiful and scarce plate is the largest from the Lincoln collection, measuring 9'' in diameter, with the scalloped-edge purple and gilt Alhambra pattern by Limoges, Haviland & Co. from 1861. Plate is further accentuated by the design at center, painted by Edward Lycett, featuring an eagle atop an American shield with the rising sun in the background and the words ''E PLURIBUS UNUM'' underneath. With no backmarks, as required. Minor wear including light scratching and some rubbing to gilt. Overall in near fine condition.
