Extraordinary collection from the estate of U.S. Congressman John Dellenback who represented Oregon's 4th District and served as Director of the Peace Corps. Very large collection includes a beautiful 100-piece set of Congressional china in near fine condition plus dozens of items from Dellenback's Congressional career. Lot includes:

Elegant set of Lenox Congressional china featuring the Great Seal of the United States in gilt at top, additionally rimmed in gilt. Backmark of all but one has the Lenox seal with ''Member United States / Congress''. Entire set is in near fine condition with very light wear from use and minor rubbing to gilt. Set includes:

1-13) Thirteen dinner plates, each measuring 10.5'' in diameter.
14-27) Fourteen salad plates, each measuring 8.25'' in diameter. One of the plates has a different marking, with ''United States Congress'' appearing around the Great Seal.
28-40) Thirteen bread plates, each measuring 6.375'' in diameter.
41-66) Thirteen sets of coffee cups and saucers. Saucers measure 6'' in diameter; cups measure 3'' tall and 3.625'' in diameter at mouth.
67-84) Nine sets of tea cups and saucers. Saucers measure 5'' in diameter; cups measure 2.5'' tall and 2.75'' in diameter at mouth.
85-88) Four large shallow bowls measuring 1.5'' tall and 7.5'' in diameter at mouth.
89-97) Nine bowls measuring 1.875'' tall and 5.375'' in diameter at mouth.
98) Platter measuring 11.125'' wide. Great seal at center is encircled with ''U.S.A. House of Representatives''.
99-100) Set of sugar bowl and creamer jug.

101) Tiffany bowl of George Bush's Presidential Library, with the underside mark reading ''Designed exclusively for President George Bush by Tiffany & Co.'' Bowl measures 2'' tall and 4'' in diameter. Near fine.

102-104) Three lovely pieces of Hurley china featuring the White House, the Vice President's House and the Bushes Kennebunkport compound. Each piece is lidded and with markings on undersides related to the George Bush Sr. family, from whom these were gifted. Pieces range in size from 3.5'' x 3'' to 7'' x 3'' to 4.5'' x 4''. Approximately 2'' tall. Near fine.

The remainder of the collection is filled with dozens of cards, letters, Presidential signed books and White House invitations, most from George and Barbara Bush; Dellenback and Bush were close friends during their time together in Congress. Small sampling includes: set of George Bush pins; White House invitation for the unveiling of George and Barbara Bushes Presidential portraits; numerous letters including several signed by George Bush during the 1992 Presidential campaign, in which he expresses what a ''tough campaign'' and ''uphill battle'' it is; George Bush autograph letter signed as President shortly before he left office, reading in part, ''We have moved a bit on the 'road map' with Viet Nam - I can't do more at this late date - for a lot of reasons including not wanting to saddle Clinton with new faits accompli...''; other letters by Barbara and George Bush on Camp David, White House and Vice Presidential stationery; several signed books by Barbara Bush, including one signed by both Barbara and George on a bookplate; Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter signed book.

A large and interesting collection by a prominent U.S. Congressman, with glimpses into the career of his close friend, President George Bush.
