Robbins medallion from STS-33 Discovery, unique as one of the few Space Shuttles to perform a mission on behalf of the U.S. Department of Defense, in this case deploying a military satellite. From the personal collection of astronaut Story Musgrave, who served as Mission Specialist on STS-33, unflown sterling silver medallion is serial number 73, one of 157 minted for the mission. Obverse of medal features the mission insignia, with the crew members' surnames around the rim. Reverse shows the surnames again along with the launch and landing dates and place engraved: ''November 22, 1989'' and ''November 27, 1989 / RW 4, EDWARDS AFB, CA''. With Robbins and sterling marks on edge, along with serial number ''73''. Medallion measures 1.75'' in diameter, housed in original Robbins plastic case with serial number on sticker. Near fine condition. With an LOA from Story Musgrave, the only astronaut to have flown on all five Space Shuttles.
