Interesting lot of 49 index cards handwritten by Story Musgrave, the most educated astronaut with six academic degrees and the only astronaut to have flown on all five Space Shuttles. Many of the cards concern Musgrave's engineering training, with ''CRE'' (Certified Reliability Engineer) written at the top, followed by philosophical musings. Examples include, ''CRE Proficient, Fitness Like Athletics or Mental Gymnastics'', ''CRE Self Esteem, Confidence, Spirituality'', ''Doubt Skepticism Cynic / Challenge the fixed accepted tradition 'primal doubt'...'', ''CRE Mood Music'', Hope/Future / No Hope - No Reason, CRE, CRE --> Future / Give Wings to Ideas'', ''I Want $, a House, a Car, to Graduate / I want CRE / Commit & Courage'', ''Ecstasy = Passion / Spiritial Ecstasy / St Teresa/Starbuck''. Two other cards underscore the importance of creativity, indicating that it feeds both spirituality and transcendence in a feedback loop. Each card measures 5'' x 3'', a few with writing on both sides. Very good condition. With an LOA from Story Musgrave.
