Long form agreement between Rogers Brackett (Plaintiff) against James Dean (Defendant) regarding money that Brackett claimed Dean owed him. Dated March 1955, the month that ''East of Eden'' premiered, unsigned agreement resolves a potentially embarrassing lawsuit by Brackett, who claimed that Dean owed him for small loans and hotel room bills. Agreement stipulates that Dean shall pay Brackett $100 per week until a total of $800 is paid. Two page agreement measures 8.5'' x 13'', with a rider measuring 8.5'' x 5'' stapled at bottom.
