Draft letter from James Dean to Warner Bros. regarding the terms of him promoting his films. Undated, but likely from early 1955 prior to the release of ''East of Eden'', letter was likely drafted by Warner Bros. for Dean to sign. Letter does not mention Dean, but comes from Jane Deacy's James Dean archives. Reads in part, ''...I am now laid off, without pay...you are desirous that I be available to your Publicity Department...all to be used in connection with the advertising and/or exploitation of photoplays in which I have appeared or may be scheduled to appear for you...'' Single page measures 8.5'' x 11''. Some creasing and chipping, overall in very good condition. From the estate of James Dean's agent, Jane Deacy.
