Gus Grissom lot of personally owned items, including:
1) Grissom's personally owned ''College Algebra'' textbook, with Grissom's handwritten notes on the endpapers and with his ownership inscription to front pastedown, ''Virgil Grissom''. Grissom also adds his phone number at the time, ''Ph. 3496''. Textbook measures 6'' x 8.75'' and runs 368pp. Moderate wear, overall in very good condition.
2) Holograph check signed by Gus Grissom. Handwritten by Grissom, check is dated 15 August 1959 for $6.75, signed ''Virgil I. Grissom'' at lower right. Payee is Stoneybrook Country Club for ''Kindergarden Registration''. Measures 6.25'' x 2.75''. Light creasing and bank cancellation marks, overall very good condition.
3) Photo of Norman Rockwell with Gus Grissom, inscribed by the illustrator, ''With Sincere Admiration / to Major Grissom / Sincerely / Norman Rockwell'' in blue ballpoint. Glossy photo measures 10'' x 8'', with NASA stamp to verso. Some creasing, overall very good.
4) Large 14'' x 11'' photo of the Mercury 7, boldly signed by Gordon Cooper in black fountain pen. Glossy photo has ding at top edge, else near fine.
5) Collection of six commemorative solid bronze coins titled ''Mercury Series''. Each coin measures 1.5'' in diameter. Very good condition.
