State of Mississippi bond from 1838 for $2,000, with 5% interest per year until the 1850 maturity date. Signed by then Governor of Mississippi Alexander G. McNutt. Document measures approximately 12.5'' x 14.75'', matted and framed to 18.75'' x 21''. Not examined out of frame. One coupon cut out, a few small tears, and some chipping to frame, very good condition.
