Bing Crosby typed letter signed. Crosby's letter to his friend Henry Schmidt, coach at the University of Santa Clara is dated 16 September 1965. It reads in part, ''Dear Schmidty: Than you so much for your letter...we'll certainly try and include Jim Weichers in our golf tournament invitation list next January. I've heard of this boy and his prowess, and I'm sure he would be a very welcome addition to the field...[signed] Bing''. Single-page letter measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. Creasing and a faint stain to the lower right, else near fine. With original mailing envelope.
