Photographer Thomas Franklin signed 16'' x 20'' photo of ''Raising the Flag at Ground Zero'', with Franklin also describing the moment he captured the iconic image on 9/11: ''I saw these three firemen fumbling with the flag. I moved closer and got into position to take a photograph. And it took a couple of minutes for them to get the flag attached to the rope. They hoisted it up the flagpole. It was very quick, it wasn't a performance. I knew the photo looked good, but it didn't really stand out in any way compared to everything else I photographed on 9/11. Later I learned the significance and how unique the photo of the flag being raised was. The firefighters climbed down from the platform while I climbed up.
