Connecticut bond note authorizing interest paid to Israel Allyn in the amount of 10 shillings, signed by Connecticut Comptroller Ralph Pomeroy. Note is dated 4 January 1790, shortly before the United States passed the Coinage Act of 1792, establishing the U.S. dollar. Measures approximately 6.5'' x 3.625''. Cancellation hole at center, tape remnant at top right and irregular edges, overall in very good condition.
