George Custer envelope signed and handwritten by him, addressed to his wife, circa 1868. Custer signs ''Mrs Genl GA Custer / Fort Leavenworth / Kansas''. Date of postmark is obscured though the month of November is visible. Framed with an enamel pocket watch with Custer on the face, along with a photograph of the General. Visible portion of envelope measures 5'' x 3'', double matted and framed to a size of 22'' x 17.25''. Custer signatures are notoriously scarce, especially those signed with the rank of General. Tear on right side from opening, not affecting signature, which is clear and legible. Very good to near fine condition.
