First edition, first printing of Ernest Hemingway's ''Men Without Women'' housed in the first printing unclipped dust jacket. Volume is comprised of 14 short stories, several considered to be Hemingway's finest work. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1927. Book weighs 15.5 oz. (compared to 15 oz. for the second printing), with additional first printing points present: the date of 1927 on title page, unbroken page number ''3'', the Scribner's seal on copyright page but no ''A''. First printing dust jacket shows $2.00 price, without review blurbs on front flap. Book measures 5.25'' x 7.625'' and runs 232pp. Bound in black boards with luminous gilt text block on front cover and spine. Goldenrod endpapers show a charging bull. Jacket has some sunning and dampstaining to spine, and mousing to edges; in fair condition. Book has separating starting to front hinge, otherwise near fine.
