Concept artwork for PILOT, a joint U.S. Air Force-NASA program created in order to build a lifting aircraft for the purpose of unpowered atmosphere reentry and landing. Martin Co. concept artwork by Frank DiPietro shows an aircraft, closely resembling the Martin Marietta X-24, which was first flown in 1963. Print is circa early 1960s, with ''Martin'' printed on the mat. Measures 20'' x 24''. Light wear and foxing to mat. Overall very good condition.
