Franklin D. Roosevelt signed photo, inscribed, ''For Gardner Jackson from his friend / Franklin D. Roosevelt''. Jackson served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Agriculture under Roosevelt, and was a champion for worker's rights, even causing a political opponent to attack him, resulting in the loss of his eye. Matte photo measures approximately 8'' x 10'', matted to 10.25'' x 12.25''. Toning, foxing and mild silvering, overall in very good condition.
