First edition, first printing of Alfred Tennyson's ''Poems by Two Brothers'', his first book of poetry. London: for W. Simpkin and R. Marshall, and J. and J. Jackson, 1827. Authored by Tennyson and his brother Charles, Alfred Tennyson was only 18 when this scarce edition was published, and is not credited within the text. Bound in contemporary green morocco with gilt titling and all edges gilt. With marbled endpapers. Book measures 4.75'' x 7.5'' and runs 228pp. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown, some sunning to spine and light foxing. Very good plus condition.
