Screen Actors Guild award given to Iron Eyes Cody, the Italian actor who famously played Native American characters throughout his career, including in the 1971 PSA commercial, ''Keep America Beautiful'', where Iron Eyes Cody shed a tear when seeing litter polluting the environment. Signed by Cody on the verso, with Cody writing ''Cherokee Cree Indian'' underneath his name, although it was later learned that Cody was of Sicilian Italian descent. Large plaque is a Certificate of Appreciation awarded in 1983, measuring 18.875'' x 17.375''. With beautiful wood inlay bordered in gilt. Light scuffing in spots, overall in very good plus condition.
