Original ''Peanuts'' advertising artwork hand-drawn and signed by Charles Schulz, featuring Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Schroeder, Lucy and Linus. Artwork is likely from 1957, and shows Snoopy still walking on four legs, which Snoopy mostly stopped doing in 1956 when he ''learned'' to walk on his two hind legs. Artwork promotes the annual May Week festivities at Ohio State University, in concert with ''The Columbus Citizen'' newspaper, which merged with another paper in 1959 to form ''The Columbus Citizen-Journal''. In 1957 the theme of OSU's May Week centered around the ''Peanuts'' characters, and Schulz gave the University permission that year to parody the characters on campus. Artwork measures 18.75'' x 8.25''. Mounted to Crescent illustration board. Very minor soiling and slight buckling at top, else near fine condition.
